    Hard working lawyers for hard working people.

    Went to P&U for a family/ divorce issues and was extremely unhappy. Most of the lawyers they list are aparently independent contractors whose billing practices or behavior are not monitored by Provost & Umphrey ( which is what I was told when I had issue with one of their family lawyers) This lawyer overcharged me and was rude and dismissive Of course I fired him very early in my case but he is now holding on to my retainer with claims of billing hours that are impossible based on the what he accomplished for me. Warning: buyer beware. You will be better off going to a solo lawyer, since the lawyers renting space from this firm operate with the same lack of supervision or accountability. They would also be CHEAPER than these lawyers.
